Urban Terror: Colt M4A1

The Colt M4 Carbine, manufactured for the U.S. Military, is an AR-15 type assault rifle, a variation of the proven M16. The main differences from the M16 are the shorter 14.5" barrel and the telescoping stock. Both of these features make the M4 shorter, lighter, and therefore more maneuverable. The M4 fires 5.56mm NATO ammunition and is considered to be fairly accurate. A 30 round magazine is standard. It has a rate of fire of 700 to 950 rounds per minute. It can be fired in Semi or Full Auto modes.

The direct gas operating system makes AR-15 type rifles very reliable. The straight line of the stock prevents the rifle from kicking up from recoil ("muzzle climb"), making it easier to handle and keep on target. AR-15 type rifles can be field stripped without any special tools.

Though it isn't available in the game, a 40mm grenade launcher can be mounted directly underneath the barrel.
